A book and a movie: The Road

I just finished reading this book by Cormac McCarthy; I must say that it’s one of the best books I have red. I didn’t have a chance to watch the movie yet but I’m looking forward to it. All the time I red the book I imagined what it would be like to be in their shoes, it’s really sad. (more…)
Hypnosis?

Has anyone used hypnosis for anything? I read that you can loose weight, stop smoking, anxiety etc.
I never tried it but I think I want to try it for weight loss. I talked to my boss who tried it 10 years ago or so for weight loss but he said it worked for 1 month or so. (more…)
New Year!

New year eve is approaching; I always feel sad at the end of the year. It reminds me that time passes so fast and that I’m getting old. Somehow I can’t look on the bright side…
Even though there are parties everywhere or even I’m at a party, still doesn’t matter. I know this is just me and I definitely don’t want to make you feel sad like me but what do you feel at the end of the year?

Did everyone get what they wanted? Yes, I’m talking about the presents… I’m sure kids did, at least most of them.
I just recently learned that there is a website where you can enter some information about your kid and Santa talks to them, I mean sends them a message. It is really cool, I tried it with my daughter and she believed it especially when Santa! said where she lived, showed his book with my daughter’s name and picture in it.
Maybe not for this year but for next year save this website’s name and try it… it’s fun. (more…)

Tonight was the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline’s volunteer Holiday party at the Garden City Hotel in Long Island. I saw my volunteer friends from my class and sat together. I had a nice time. All of these volunteers share something in common, they’re all breast cancer survivors. (more…)

Ok, I made a decision and went with iPhone. So far it’s great, I know I don’t have Verizon’s good network but I don’t have any problems with AT&T so far and the good thing is that iPhone has sim card so whenever I go overseas (sometimes I go for a month or two) I can use my overseas sim card in it so I’m happy with my decision.

My contract with Verizon is ending tomorrow, I was eligible for renewal 6 months ago but I didn’t because I definitely wanted an Iphone since the day it came out but I hear a lot of bad things about the service. (more…)
