My first sale!

After I became a distributor for Forever products I made my first sale and placed the order, it’s arriving tomorrow.

I’m so happy; I know it doesn’t mean anything yet but maybe if I keep up with this it might turn out to be a good thing for me…

And being a little shopaholic I went to Office Max and bought myself an organizer; placed my calculator, sales order booklet, business cards and catalogs. It feels like an actual work right now…

I hope this goes on a long time…

Do you shop from E-bay?

I usually shop locally but for the past year or two my online shopping increased and one of the websites I shop is e-bay. I really like the choices I have and I can find used or new items.

I also started selling some of the items online; for example my daughter’s stroller, car seat and some items that we used. First I tried selling them on garage sale but sitting for hours on a chair in front of the garage was hard. So at the end of the day I took pictures and put them up for sale online. I sold some of the items and liked it very much.

Now I bought some items and selling them. If you want any electronics or baby clothes you can check out the items that I list;

Tax Free Shopping in NY

There is a tax free week in NY State but this one I’m talking about is that tax free shopping all the time. But of course like all the good things there are some conditions to that…

I thought I should write about this here so that you can take advantage of it.

In September of 2005, New York City permanently eliminated the city sales tax of 4% on clothing and footwear purchases under $110. In April of 2006, the state of New York followed suit and repealed its portion of the sales tax on these items. The result is that the five boroughs of New York City are the only counties in the state of New York that charge no sales tax on these purchases.

NYC Tax Free Shopping Tips

What items are exempt from sales tax? All clothing and footwear, clothing material (fabric, thread, buttons, etc.), hats and neckwear (ties and scarves), formalwear (purchased), and diapers (including disposable diapers).

What items are not exempt from sales tax? Jewelry and watches, handbags, umbrellas, rented formalwear, sports equipment (pads, helmets, etc.), pet or doll clothes.

Since these days I’m looking to a lot of home decoration stores I decided to write here too…

Ok; I want new window treatments for our little living room, large living room and bedroom but I don’t want something so basic, I want something unique, nice looking and easy to use and clean and also just maybe for small living room something with a bold prints… Am I asking too much?

When I was searching all over the internet I found this about window treatments and copying here…

Trends come and go in fashion, but that is common today is the tendency in the body to mimic the trend of fashion. Window treatments are striking a familiar chord color and picked the flavors of the details in the clothes to find, bold prints color combinations. The new black

10 Best gift ideas for your boyfriend! Inexpensive too.

You know that it’s that time of the year, it’s been a while now, everyone started shopping on Black Friday; except some people, like me . Very few of us still didn’t do shopping. I bought stuff online but only one of them arrived… I’m late, I know, I started late, but I’ve got an excuse; we have still construction in the house…

So anyway, I’m not in this category, I mean I don’t have a boyfriend; “I have a husband”… So this subject is for you ladies who have a boyfriend; well ladies who are married, you can use these ideas too…:)

1) Picture Frame

Buying a nice looking picture frame, like black leather or chrome (try discount stores like Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Target etc…) and putting a nice picture of both of you is a nice gift and inexpensive… You can try picture editing software to make your picture look different; like making your picture black and white…

2) Coupons

This very inexpensive way of gifting is also very useful. You can either buy or handmade the coupons and place them in a box or a book… Try it, it’ll make any little tension between you disappear…

3) Naughty Ideas

Make a naughty kit for him: whipped cream , handcuffs, a blindfold, that sort of thing. Again, the more creative, the better!

4) A Music CD

Make him a CD of Christmas songs. You can go traditional (“White Christmas” by Bing Crosby, “Winter Wonderland” by Louis Armstrong and “Holly Jolly Christmas” by Burl Ives) or fun and modern (“Rudolph” by Jack Johnson, “Baby please Come Home” by Death Cab for Cutie, and “The Christmas Song” by the Ravonettes). Draw your own CD cover art and be sure to include the year!

5) Treat him to a game

If he’s got a favorite sports team , you can probably find inexpensive tickets to an off-day game or event. Still too expensive? If he’s into hockey, but you can’t afford the Red Wings, then buy tickets to a non-pro team instead.

6) Take pictures of yourself

If you’re not too shy, have a close friend take some tasteful boudoir photos of you. Keep it clean, but sexy. No crotch shots, no nipples! Print a few and add them to a small album. Or, burn your favorites to a CD . Either way, those photos of you are guaranteed to warm his heart (and other parts!) till spring!

7) Treat him to a movie

Take him to the movies and buy him popcorn, a soda, and some candy. Let him choose the movie, too… I’m talking “Ninja Assassin,” not “Leap Year.” No matter how ridiculously violent or scary or plotless pretend to enjoy it. Heck, you may even enjoy it for real!

Get a buddy gift

If you know someone else is getting him something expensive, get a companion gift. For instance, if his parents are getting him the iPod Touch , get him an iTunes gift card or carry case or car adapter. If he’s getting a Wii, get him the new Mario Brothers game.

9) Get him a certificate

Probably your boyfriend has got a favorite pub where he hangs with his mates. Get him a gift card for the price of two or three pints, and include a note that encourages him to spend a night out with the boys.

10) Clean for him

If he lives away from home , chances are, his flat, house, or apartment can get messy. Bring your own sponges and cleaners, and get to work. If you’re feeling particularly generous, clean in lingerie.

I always think that people who live in a climate that Christmas is cold and snowy have to buy winter themed gifts… I didn’t see anybody who buys the Christmas gifts in the summer time or you managed to buy swimsuit or summer clothes as gifts on a cold Christmas morning it would look weird, you might get some rolling eyes, some silent swearing…That’s what I think, nobody wants a gift that they can use it in 6 months, everybody wants something that can be used right away…

One of my favorite gifts are -both receiving and giving- scarves, gloves and hats. I love going to the stores and see all different kinds of them. What do you think is a good gift?
