http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300421504696&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
Ok, now I continue to write about organization and the subject is family organization. It’s hard to schedule everything especially if you have big family, hopefully these tips will help you to get organized…

Maintain one master family calendar in a central place in the house. Remind everyone to be sure to write their appointments on it to avoid conflicts. Each family member old enough to do so should keep his/her own calendar as well. Check in with each other regularly to be sure that they all match.

Designate one shelf, drawer, or other space as a gift wrap center. Store wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbon, bows, tissue paper, scissors, tape etc. together. Buy all-occasion paper so you will have less to store.

Keep an ongoing shopping list in the kitchen with a pen or pencil nearby. Write down the items you need for a recipe when you decide to make it, items that are running low, or thins you need for an upcoming occasion. Ask everyone in the family to add to the items when they think of something or use the almost-last-one of something. Remember to always take the list to the supermarket.

Borrow books from the library instead of buying them. You will save money and space.

Set up a magazine exchange with family members or friends. You can all subscribe to different ones and pass them along to each other. You will probably keep up with reading them because you know someone is waiting for them. And you will all have less clutter, save money… and trees.

Designate one place in the house where everyone will put out-going mail.

Okay, It’s time to go back to “organization” subject; now it’s time to clear your handbag etc. If you are like me you may need these tips. If you are using a different kind of handbag every day or so you probably don’t have any junk in your handbag… Anyway I just thought it’s nice to know some tips about it. So here it is;

Always keep your handbag, wallet, keys, etc in the same place. If you have to bring something with you when you go out (e.g. library books to return, dry cleaning receipt, a gift, etc.), put it next to your keys. You probably can’t go anywhere without them.

If you are away from the house and think of something you have to do when you get home, call your answering machine with a reminder to yourself (e.g. fill windshield fluid tank).

Listen to audio books if you like to read and have trouble finding the time. You can listen while your drive or, clean the house or work in the garden.

Make a master list of people you holiday gifts for. Keep the list in your wallet and shop all year long, taking advantage of sales or just finding the perfect eight or ten months early. Write what you bought next to the person’s name and check him or her off. Make separate list for birthday, anniversary, wedding, shower, or baby gifts you know you will need during the coming year. Then in January, make a new list. You will save money and avoid the stress of needing last -minute gifts.

Keep coupons in your handbag or car. Use an envelope or small plastic bag to keep them in some kind of order. Check them frequently to discard the ones that have expired. At the same time, you will be reminded of the ones you have. If they are ready to expire put them in a more prominent place in your wallet or attach them to your shopping list.

Keep store discount or membership cards together in your wallet so they will be handy when you get to the register.

Wear black. It gives a look that is especially slimming.

Avoid tight clothing that will emphasize your heavy areas.

Choose softly tailored pieces that define but don’t constrain.

Steer clear of horizontal stripes, which make you appear wider, but consider vertical stripes, which make you look longer and leaner.

Wear blocks of color that draw the eye away from less-than-perfect areas. Wear a red shell or royal blue jacket, for example, to draw attention away from your legs.

Wear shoulder pads and wide necklines to balance wide hips.

Choose pants that have narrow or tapered legs to hide a large midsection. Flat-front pants and side or back zippers will flatter your figure, while pockets, pleats and tight pants will only draw attention to your midsection.

Today I’ll write about organizing closets. I’m sure most people don’t do these everyday (i.e. me!) but doing little everyday saves us lots of time than doing it all together…

Hang clothing by category; jeans and casual pants, dress pants, skirts, suits, dresses, casual shirts, dress shirts and tops etc. Be sure to return each item to its appropriate section of the closet.

Hang or put away clothing shoes, jewelry, etc. while they are in your hand. You will save time and keep things more organized if you do not have to handle them twice. Check to see which items have to be washed and put them directly into the hamper. Designate one place in the house for items that have to go to the dry cleaner.

Use an over-the-door shoe bag to hold small items and accessories.

When you remove an item from the close, put the empty hanger at the end of the rod, not between the clothes. You will always have the proper hangers when you put clothes away and you will never have stray hangers that tangle between clothes.

Take out clothes with matching jewelry and accessories the night before you need them. If something needs ironing or has a loose button, you will have time to take care of it or change to something else.

I’m continuing to write about organizing. This subject is a sore subject for me since the beginning of my cancer I wasn’t able to write everything chronologically. I hope noone has to be diagnosed anything serious but it’s a good thing to keep track of things. So here it is;

Use a marble or spiral notebook for medical notes. Record dates, health care providers’ contact information, visits, test results, phone calls, follow-up appointments, etc. List the person you saw or spoke to, when and what was discussed. Bring the notebook with you to your appointments.

In your notebook, write down any questions you want to ask at your next appointment and leave room for the answers.

Use a notebook that has one or two pockets for prescription, business cards, instrctions, etc.

At home, keep a file for all of your receipts for co-pays and explanation of benefits forms you receive from your insurance company. You may want to maintain a separate file for each health care provider and one for prescriptions. Another suggestion is to maintain the files chronologically. Either way, at the end of the year, store the year’s files together and start a new file for the following year.

Maintain a notebook and file for each member of the family.

I love being organized…Who wouldn’t?

Everything is where it’s supposed to be, no clutter, nothing out of place, junk mail goes to garbage can/recycle right away… Just perfect, I mean almost, because nothing is perfect…

Are you kidding me? Who can do this? With everyday life, taking care of kids, cooking, laundry, going to the office, appointments, shopping etc…Is there time to take care of the mess that seems to be adding up everyday?

But, there is a solution, at least there is help. Almost every magazine has a section about organizing or websites, or even companies about organizing your home, office, even you… You call them, they come and clean out your clutter.

But if you just want to do it yourself, then you need to read the tips. Fist start out small, don’t think about organizing the whole house, think about one little section of it, then move to the other section. Little by little you can do it, but if you think about a big project then you might get discouraged…

Being disorganized causes stress, money and time loss. So make a plan and start…

Now, I’m going to write what I learned (but not yet practiced) about organizing;

The Home Office

Keep a two-subject notebook (or a little address book for passwords) near your computer to record useful websites, passwords, customer account numbers, etc. Use the second section to make notes on phone calls; the company and the name of the person you spoke to, date of the call, the problem or issue you discussed and the person’s response, and any follow-up you can expect.

Sort mail as it arrives. Keep one section of your desk, table or counter for bills and other items that need attention. Designate a basket or box for magazines or other material that you can read at any time. Shred anything that contains and account number or personal information.

Store canceled checks alphabetically and start an new file for each year. If you have the option of having your bank store your checks electronically and not return them to you, take advantage of it.

Put a Post-It ote on a check half-way through your checkbook to remind you to order new checks.

Clip receipts from each charge card separately to make it easier to check your credit card statements.

You might not be in danger in your own town but if you’re driving in the city, especially at night you shoule be extra carefull. Listen to this;

They throw egg to your front window and if you try to clean it with water and windshield, it gets worse, you loose 95% of sight and eventually you stop to clean it and that’s when they get you. If they’re just after money they ask for your wallet, but some of them push you over steal your car.

So what should you do? Do NOT stop, continue driving, don’t wash the egg, hopefully you can see the road around it. After a while they’ll get tired of following you and target another car.

I’m sorry there is not much you can do, except continuing on your way.

Be safe.

Last time I wrote tips for staying safe in general but now I’d like to add tips for nighttime.

Unfortunately, nighttime safety concerns most women, and for good reason—the vast majority of victims during a nightly stroll are female and the vast majority of predators are male. No matter how highly skilled you are in defense, chances are that you will for more uneasy walking down a desert street at night than any man you know. Nighttime safety is important; learning these nine nighttime safety tips from women could save<a href="http://www.lifescript.com/Soul/Self/Growth/9_Nighttime_Safety_Tips_for_Women.aspx?gclid=CJyf-4Di5JwCFcZM5QodWVcPGw&trans=1&du=1&ef_id=1350:3:s_b4e15eaab525f0a5c7a8403c69aecbf9_2540088185:Sqe-ZENIYXsAAH40ADwAAADA:20090909144452#"style="border-bottom: 0.075em solid darkgreen ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: underline ! important; padding-bottom: 1px ! important; color: darkgreen ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;" target="_blank"> your life.

Tip #1: Take the Dog

If you want to practice nighttime safety, but don’t really feel like company on your walk, why not take your dog? Even if you only have a small dog or a puppy, animals deter attackers. Simply put, someone who wants to mug or rape you is looking for an easy target. He doesn’t know if your dog is sweet or ferocious, and he doesn’t want to take that chance of getting bit. Dogs also bark, even if they don’t attack, so having your furry friend with you will cause a commotion if you’re in danger, alerting anyone in the area that someone is in trouble or, at the very least, something is not right.

Tip #2: Sign up for a Self-Defense Class

Of course, nighttime safety starts with knowing how to take care of yourself. Community centers and martial arts business offer self-defense classes for a reason! In some cases, you can even find churches, colleges, and other organizations nighttime safety classes for a very low cost<a href="http://www.lifescript.com/Soul/Self/Growth/9_Nighttime_Safety_Tips_for_Women.aspx?gclid=CJyf-4Di5JwCFcZM5QodWVcPGw&trans=1&du=1&ef_id=1350:3:s_b4e15eaab525f0a5c7a8403c69aecbf9_2540088185:Sqe-ZENIYXsAAH40ADwAAADA:20090909144452#"style="border-bottom: 0.075em solid darkgreen ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: underline ! important; padding-bottom: 1px ! important; color: darkgreen ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;" target="_blank"> or for free, so there really is no reason not to sign up. You’ll learn not only self-defense moves, but also tips for avoiding danger altogether. The things you learn in these classes can help you to escape an attacker with your life.

Tip #3: Wear Reflective Gear

It is important to remember that not all women hurt while walking alone at night are attacked by predators. In some cases, the best nighttime safety tip you can have is to wear reflective clothing. When you are wearing dark gear and walking along the road late at night, a driver might not be able to see you until its too late. A number of prominent sporting gear companies sell clothing to prevent this, as well as provide consumers with reflective stickers and plastic pieces to attach to bikes or rollerblades. At the very least, wear light-colored clothing. When you do this, drivers in the area will be able to see you. It also helps if you are attacked—a driver may never noticed a struggle if both people are wearing black, but if you’re clearly seen being victimized, others will rush to your aid right away.

Tip #4: Stay off the Cell

Some women like to call a friend during a walk home<a href="http://www.lifescript.com/Soul/Self/Growth/9_Nighttime_Safety_Tips_for_Women.aspx?gclid=CJyf-4Di5JwCFcZM5QodWVcPGw&trans=1&du=1&ef_id=1350:3:s_b4e15eaab525f0a5c7a8403c69aecbf9_2540088185:Sqe-ZENIYXsAAH40ADwAAADA:20090909144452#"style="border-bottom: 0.075em solid darkgreen ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: underline ! important; padding-bottom: 1px ! important; color: darkgreen ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;" target="_blank"> in the dark to feel more secure. In actuality, this is one of the most dangerous things you can do. Although you may think that having a friend on the line will protect you, since he or she will be able to call 9-1-1 immediately if you are attacked, this is usually not the case, and predators know that. If you suddenly drop the phone, your friend will probably try calling back a number of times before ever calling the police, right? By that time, you’ll be stuffed in someone’s trunk and long gone!

Talking on your cell phone makes you an easy target, because you aren’t as aware of your surroundings. Listening to a portable music device does the same thing. When a predator can take you by surprise, he will be more likely to get what that wants, whether that be your belongings or your person. Practicing nighttime safety includes being fully alert to everything around you at all times. Remember, predators don’t like to risk being caught if they don’t have to—if you look like you’re ready to put up a fight, he’ll just wait for a girl on her cell phone to come along instead.

Tip #5: Take the Longer Route

This should be a no-brainer—walk along a route that takes you through well-lighted and populated areas. Yet, every day, women veer from the safe course in order to get to wherever they are going faster. Believe me, it’s not worth it. If you are concerned about your nighttime safety (and you should be), walk the extra block or two in order to stay in a safe location. Resist the urge to cut through the dark, deserted alley. Using your common sense will prevent you from entering dangerous situations in the first place.

Tip #6: Look Confident

When a predator is looking for his next victim, he will assess every situation to look for the one with the biggest payoff. In other words, he wants the least hassle with the most reward (money, jewelry, your body<a href="http://www.lifescript.com/Soul/Self/Growth/9_Nighttime_Safety_Tips_for_Women.aspx?page=3#"style="border-bottom: 0.075em solid darkgreen ! important; font-weight: normal ! important; font-size: 100% ! important; text-decoration: underline ! important; padding-bottom: 1px ! important; color: darkgreen ! important; background-color: transparent ! important; background-image: none; padding-top: 0pt; padding-right: 0pt; padding-left: 0pt;" target="_blank">, etc). Looking confident will definitely be a disadvantage in his book. Women who look unafraid are more likely to have taken self-dense courses and are more likely to put up a fight. Keep your eyes level, instead of looking at the ground or continuously looking around you in fear. When you’re confident, you also look like you have somewhere to be—that is, people are expecting you and may immediately come looking for you if you are late. There are easier targets than a confidant woman, so for that reason alone, a predator may choose to leave you alone.

Tip#7: Carry a Weapon

Ok, ok. You don’t have to register a handgun in order to take advantage of this nighttime safety tip; you just need to be prepared with items that can be used as weapons. For example, carry your keys in your hand, holding one key between you pointer and middle finger. Try it—it creates a nice little jabbing device. You can also carry pepper spray, which is preferred by many women. If you do so, don’t keep it at the bottom of your bulky purse! How can you expect to quickly find it if you are attacked? Slip the pepper spray into your pocket or an outside pouch on your bag instead so that it is easy to access in the case of an emergency. Your nighttime safety devices won’t help you if you can’t reach them in a hurry.

Tip#8: Be Noisy

If you are attacked, don’t “shut up” even if your attacker tells you to do so. Scream, throw things, rustle branches, and do anything else it takes to make as much noise as possible. Also, instead of yelling “help,” try a better approach. Too many people scream help in jest, and so that word is sometimes ignored, as is general screaming. Instead, shout “Call 9-1-1!” or “Call the police!” instead as loudly as possible. People who hear that will be less likely to ignore you. Also, they will dial for help immediately instead of investigating what is going on, so the authorities will arrive more quickly. Your screaming will make the predator think twice and possible abort his attack. Your whole goal, if you are attacked, is to prevent someone from taking you to another place, where it will be easier to harm you, and creating a noise and putting up a fight can help you to prevent this.

Tip #9: Tell Someone When You’ll be Home

Lastly, the best nighttime safety tip I can give you is to let someone know that you will be outside at night and when you should be at your destination. If you’re running late—ever by a minute—have the other person call the police. It is important that someone realize you are missing or hurt as soon as possible, so find a friend and help one another with this nighttime safety tip. If you are for some reason running late, call him or her to report your new time of arrival. Being responsible for your safety, no matter what time of day or night, is important. By knowing how to avoid and overcome predators, you can keep yourself safe.

Stay safe…

We live in a world that is not safe. We have to learn how to protect ourselves in bad situation. I hope nobody has to face anything like that but it’s always good to learn the basics.

On this page I’ve collected some general tips on how to avoid dangerous situations outside your home. Generally, the best idea is to use your common sense!

Unfortunately, that’s not always enough. First I’ll list some common sense tips on how to avoid violence in the first place. Actually, that’s the most effective way of self defense!

Remember, most of the violent situations (mainly domestic violence) starts after verbal quarrel. Always try to “cool down” the situation or try to get out of your home before it’s too late.

General:

If you see or sense problems on your way, just change your route and – prepare to run or defend yourself

Do not wear conspicuous jewelry when you are walking on the streets alone

Do not hitchhike, use buses or taxis instead

Do not act or look like an easy target – look confident!

Most “fights” are won before they start, and aggressors will back down if you maintain eye contact and are not intimidated by them.

Public transport:

Remember, there is usually safety in numbers. Wait in a coffee shop or in a well lit area for the public transport to arrive

Don’t choose the window seat as you may be “blocked in” by a potential assailant; always choose an aisle seat for quick exit

After peak hours, always choose the train compartment carrying the most passengers or the compartment directly behind the train driver

On buses, sit behind the driver or next to the door for quick exit.

Motor vehicles:

Danger areas are stepping out of your car either at home or in isolated areas, and also walking to your car

Always approach your vehicle with the keys ready

Windows should be up and doors locked even when driving to avoid unwanted passengers at intersections. (Please note that this conflicts with quick entering and exit procedures in the event of an accident)

Always check your car before entering

Never leave your car unlocked, even for the few minutes it may take you to return a video, buy milk and so forth. Attackers have been known to lie in wait for such an opportunity.

Never get into a car even if someone is pointing a knife or a handgun at you from inside. Just start to run away from the car screaming at the same time. It’s much more likely that he will drive away to find an easier target than attacking or killing you. But if you get into the car, he has a much better opportunity to drive to a quiet place and start to abuse you and later maybe kill you.

Never pull your car over from a quiet road even if someone drives alongside your car pointing at the tyres etc. Always continue driving to a well-lit and crowded area before exiting your car. The problem might be a bluff and the driver wants you to stop at the side of the road to “help” you without a reason.

Always be alert in parking lots, specially when it’s dark. If you are afraid, don’t be too shy to ask someone to escort you to your car. Between cars and inside cars, it’s easy for someone to hide and wait until an unalert person comes along.

Taxis:

Always check the identification of the driver (usually located near the visor) and ensure that it matches the driver

Be wary of cars with central locking

Don’t sit behind the driver as it may be easy for the driver to lock the rear passenger door – always choose the adjacent seat

Always order taxis so that the driver can be traced

Avoid flagging taxis from the street

Walkers / joggers:

If you have car trouble and are walking to look for help, always walk against the traffic so that you can see what is coming

If shadowed by a car, run back in the direction from which you came. If you continue in the same direction, you will make it easy for the shadowing to continue

Be wary of alert passengers

Don’t use a “walkman” when walking in isolated areas at any time

Regularly change your routines

Mark out houses at intervals on each route you take that may be used as “safe houses” in the event of attack such as shops or houses that you know to be occupied by a friend or acquaintance. Try to incorporate these houses every time you vary your route

Be alert at all times

Don’t presume that because your area has been “safe” thus far, that it will continue to be so.

Public phone boxes:

When you are calling from a telephone box, after dialing the numbers always turn around so that you have your back to the phone and may see what is coming. You will then be able to tell the person to whom you are speaking that you may be in trouble and you may be able to use the weight of the phone as a weapon. The door of a telephone box could be used to wedge in the limbs of the attacker.

Clothing:

Think about your clothing – where will it be worn? Will you be going out after work? Get into the habit of leaving restrictive clothing and shoes for those occasions when you are certain that you have no reason to anticipate danger, such as large crowds, being picked up after work or going out and so forth.

Choose a wardrobe which maximizes freedom of movement. The best self defense techniques will not help you if you cannot run away because of tight skirts or shoes with straps and high heels. In these situations, it will be necessary to disable your attacker to ensure you are not followed unless you have some means of a quick exit such as a motor vehicle. This places additional, unnecessary pressure on you to be successful. Further, if you focus too much attention on disabling you opponent, you may not be sufficiently aware of an additional threat to yourself

Usually I don’t apply heavy make up but black eyeliners/pencils are my thing and I can’t even do that…

I have blonde eyelashes and there’re only a few so I can’t put mascara it looks very weird when applied on 10 eyelashes (around there) I even tried fake eyelashes (pain in the neck when they’re falling off) so black eyeliner/pencil seems to be working but there lies another problem; either I can’t put it on correctly or all the black pencil/eyeliners are bad. Because whenever I apply, it always smudges under my eyes in 15 minutes.

Next I’ll try one of those products that you use to grow you some black, long, strong eyelashes.

These tips are about beauty, one of my friends shared it with me and I’m writing it here for you…

*Spray your face with cold water or stand with your head in the air from the freezer for a few moments to reduce redness.

*To avoid mascara flake-off or smudging on your face, apply a thin cost of mascara to top lashes only. Then run an eyelash brush through lashes to prevent clumpy mascara build-up.

*To enhance your summer shimmer add a touch of blush to enliven your cheeks and bring out your natural color. In order to find the perfect rosiness, take a look in the mirror right after a workout. The tinge of pink that spreads across your cheeks is the color that will work best for you.

*When choosing make-up, especially foundation and blush, focus on those that are water-based and non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) is the best choice.

*Use petroleum jelly or cold cream to remove stubborn eye makeup. its cheap and it works (even on waterproof mascara).

*For sexy pout, to create a pout enhance center of upper and lower lip line with a darker shade or a lip liner.

*Eyeliner should be applied close to base of eyelashes to make them look thicker. A soft pencil is easier to manage.

*Make sure you remove all cosmetics with a mild cleanser and water before going to sleep.

*For your lips, stick with the glossy glow that bounces off the summer rays. It’s better to choose natural tones but if you want to add some color, apply lipstick on top of the gloss and your lips will look like sparkling diamonds.

*When you choose makeup, moisturizers and sunscreens make sure they are hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free.
